4polige Leistungsschütze besitzen 4 Hauptkontakte werden häufig dort eingesetzt, wo Umschaltungen von Netz- auf NOT-Betrieb gewünscht ist oder wenn eine allpolige Trennung vom Stromnetz gefordert ist. Zum Beispiel bei der Forderung der AR-N 4105 Netz- und Anlagenschutz für Energieerzeugungsanlagen (BHKW / PV-Anlagen / Generator / usw).
4-polige Leistungsschütze verfügen über 4 Lastkontakte und können z.B. Erzeugungsanlage allpolig (L1,L2,L3,N) von Stromnetz trennen.
